Originally from Fargo, North Dakota, Rachel moved to Minneapolis, Minnesota in 2002 to attend the University of Minnesota. It was there that her love of large cities was cultivated, and her heart for reconciliation and redemption was formed. This love led her to work with Cru in Brisbane, Australia for two years and then later with a church plant in Cape Town, South Africa for a summer. Before moving to Greenpoint, Brooklyn in 2014 to help start a church, Rachel spent five years working for a large church in downtown Minneapolis. She brings her passion for cities and people, and her background in non-profit administration to Restore.
