Director, Polaris Project New Jersey
Kate Keisel currently serves as Director of Polaris Project New Jersey and as a member of their Senior Management Team. In her current role, she is responsible for assisting in the oversight of Client Services programmatic work, direct supervision of the New Jersey staff, and provision of case management services for survivors of human trafficking. Ms. Keisel works to continue expanding comprehensive programs that foster a holistic empowerment centered environment for survivors. She has also conducted trainings for diverse audiences including the United Nations 56th Annual Commission on the Status of Women, the National Association of Attorneys General, and the Probation Association of New Jersey.
Prior to joining Polaris Project in fall 2009, Ms. Keisel worked with a women’s rights organization in central Mexico where she helped to provide comprehensive assistance to survivors of sexual assault and domestic violence. In addition, she has worked and studied throughout Latin America, including Peru, Bolivia, and Ecuador.
