Restore Freedom Gala

Dear friends,

It is always a great pleasure for me to update you on the life of Restore NYC. In a few weeks, our organization will celebrate two years of operation. We served our first client in March 2009, and in less than 1 year we have grown by 300%. We accomplished our overarching 2010 goal and opened NYC’s first long-term safe house for foreign born survivors of sex trafficking.

Our mission is to restore freedom, safety and hope to foreign born survivors of sex trafficking by providing long-term, holistic aftercare services. We partner with local and federal officials as well as other organizations to empower survivors and facilitate the prosecution of traffickers. We empower clients to reintegrate back into society and become leaders that seek justice for the crimes committed against them. Restore NYC regularly works with the NYPD, FBI, New York Judicial System and Department of Homeland Security to accomplish just that and more.

In our corner of the world, Restore is helping to abolish this form of slavery.

We invite you to unite with Restore NYC and fellow New Yorkers to seize this unique opportunity to change our city, and effectively, change our world. Please join us at the Restore Freedom Gala on Thursday, March 24, 2011.

It’s shocking and sickening that slavery is happening in our world, let alone our city. But this is not a story of victimization, but one of empowerment and transformation that will occur when New Yorkers stand side-by-side with these resilient survivors, working together to end the sex trafficking epidemic.

I look forward to seeing you at the Restore Freedom Gala 2011.

Humbly,
Faith Huckel
