QUARTERLY LETTER: INTRODUCING BILL CUMMINGS
My name is Bill Cummings and I just joined Restore NYC as our first Director of Donor Relations. Most recently, I was serving as the Northeast Regional Director and Director of Strategic Development for ZOE. Before that, I was the founder and CEO of a nonprofit for 10 years. I also served as an executive pastor at a church in Pennsylvania for 12 years.
Words cannot express how excited I am to have this opportunity. As I get immersed in this important work, there are three groups of people I am eager to serve alongside.
It has been a joy to get to know the Restore staff. Each person is so committed to the mission and the women we serve. They are thoughtful, brilliant and curious individuals who are devoted to empowering women to live lives of freedom and well-being.
The women we serve are brave, strong and resilient leaders who inspire our team to seek even better solutions to the problem of sex trafficking and to do our work with excellence. They have survived horrific trauma, they are being restored, and I am grateful to see them in our offices every day, devoted to achieving their goals in community with others.
Faithful supporters like you make this work possible. Your investment is inspiring. I am thankful to have had the opportunity to meet some of you already, and I look forward to getting to know as many of you as possible in the months to come.
We are all in this together, joining our hearts, minds and resources to restore the well-being and independence of foreign-national survivors of sex trafficking. I am incredibly excited to collaborate with you, the women we serve, and the staff as we grow Restore’s impact in the months and years to come.
All the best,
Director of Donor Relations
