Tenaz’s work with Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) has been instrumental in preventing crimes of exploitation and victimization. Because of her vision and leadership, Homeland Security Investigations’ victim specialists’ and agents are on the front lines not only identifying and assisting human trafficking victims, but also connecting them to other organizations where they may be able to obtain wrap-around services as well as crucial resources to thrive in the community of their choice.

Leslie has been a crucial partner using her business and coaching background to build Restore’s Economic Empowerment program. She contributed to the launch of Restore’s entrepreneurship services in 2019, playing a key role in developing and managing a 12-month mentoring program for survivor entrepreneurs to bring their business and career visions to life. She also participated in the creation of Restore’s Economic Empowerment Summit in 2021, as well as leadership development of Restore staff. Leslie has been instrumental in helping make freedom real for survivors of trafficking at Restore.
