Restore was founded 15 years ago because there were no resources available for survivors of trafficking in New York City. 

Since then, we have innovated relentlessly, opening the first transitional home for survivors on the East Coast and launching one-of-a-kind housing and entrepreneurship programs. We developed tools like the Freedom Index to ensure our approach is effective and survivor-informed.

Over the years, more than 2,600 survivors and those at risk have come to Restore to achieve their goals of permanent freedom. Our trauma-informed approach has made us a national leader, earning us the 2024 Presidential Award for Extraordinary Efforts to Combat Trafficking.
