We just launched a new fundraising platform called MyRestore, which allows supporters like you to fundraise for Restore NYC. Suggestions for campaigns include individuals donating their birthdays, groups organizing clothing swaps and organizations mobilizing walk-a-thons. MyRestore helps you publicize your event and allows you to accept donations that go directly to Restore. Volunteer
Restore’s work is made possible by our enthusiastic and deeply committed volunteers, who assist us with events, administrative duties, translation services, program needs and client care.
Current volunteer opportunities relate to program needs and require fluency in Mandarin Chinese, Korean, and/or Spanish. We are also looking for yoga instructors in any language. If you qualify and are interested in becoming a Restore volunteer, please see our application process below. If you do not fit the criteria for open opportunities, but would like to receive announcements about future opportunities, please email info@restorenyc.org.
All applicants must:
1. Complete a Restore Volunteer Application;
2. be at least 18 years of age;
3. make at least a four-month commitment; and
4. complete a Restore Volunteer Training Session (offered on a monthly basis).
Additional Requirements for Program Volunteers
In addition to the four requirements listed above, applicants working directly with clients must also:
- Be female;
- meet with a Restore staff member for an in-person interview; and
- submit to a background check, if required.
